There is so much material a true film maker could use to construct an amazing Ned Kelly story without resorting to fiction as past Kelly movies have done. But, this movie wins the prize for the most pathetic, ridiculous, self indulgent, disrespectful attempt so far. Awful, Kelly had a huge beard, the Aussie accent was not around then. Kelly would have had an Irish accent even though he was born in Auss...

I really like this movie ??. Well alright. Too many white men. ??. Loved the movie, omg felt like every first date ever lol. Is the turkey bowl just a Wisconsin thing? Ive played it on thanksgiving, but now realize others might not know what it is.

 

Where skinny Pete at. Mr dry : D. Yall a bunch of cynics, these dont look half bad. Some better than others definitely but the old “all modern movies SUUUUUCK” trope is edgelord bull. I watch all these kind of trailers of mainleads who are famous in tv serieses to enjoy the hillarious comments on them. Just watched this, it had a few questionable moments, but overall was not as wow as the trailer.

Can"t wait for antlers. reading the quiet boy was so terrifying. I can" help imagining all involved in the making of this movie one day ending up in a prison block where they can compare Ned Kelly tattoos and tell their fellow inmates that Ned Kelly was a cross dressing lunatic trans. Is Ned Kelly the ONLY folk hero in Australia? How many movies are they going to make about this guy. Am i the only one who struggled to understand the dialouge of this movie? the accent/s just made it a pain to understand what they said. This movie is an insult to Edward Kelly, his family descendants and all true Australians. The film itself is beautifully shot with experimental use of light and movement. This is paired with a soundtrack that brilliantly echoes colonial heritage that has been blended with the grittiness of horror and punk. Furthermore the acting is raw, powerful and captures derangement in a perfectly unsettling way.

I"ve been looking for some new comedies, these are perfect can"t wait. A bit of a cringefest, but very relatable and generally fun. Why are horror movies so dark? Like literally dark? I cant see shit. Would be much scarier if you could see what was going on. What about the aspect ratio. The Australian film industry is DEAD - it"s corpse inhabited by an untalented mafia of posers and latte drinking soy boys. RIP. Essie Davis is still making movies. Love it!??. Hmmm. Going to be really hard to translate Lovecraft to film. It"s been tried so many times and just never seems to capture the dread of the stories.


They made 7 rings really terrifying. now i cant listen to that song the same way again.
Saw the film last night at the Glasgow film festival, and I loved it. George McKay is brilliant.
This is what happens when our film/TV/theater industry is hijacked by a small group of people that hate Australian history and culture and the majority of it"s people. For these traitors everything white, masculine, Christian and heterosexual is ripe for ridicule.

Love George <3. This film is based on the novel by Australian writer Peter Carey of the same title, which is based LOOSELY on the history of the Kelly Gang. It is an alternative narrative inspired by the often distorted piece of Australian history. It does not intend to mimic historical truth and is honest about this. It seems Australians critical of this film are merely attacking it due to the historical inaccuracies (of which it never claimed to honour) and fears that are somewhat homophobic relating to the wearing of dresses (which is explained in the film to represent madness.

“Its in the staaaatic maaaan. Its in the moisture, maaan. Hell, its even in the bongwater maaaaan.” Is that really tommy Chong. Woah Charlie AND George. Amazing. Im brazilian and want to watch this movie.
